🔴 Stuck on Stupid

Perhaps this could best be titled For a Lack of Wisdom. Sounds better! Is there any difference other than being a bit gentler? What if I had said Stuck on Satan?! All titles show that Jesus is not the Author or the Director.

Sheep aren’t the brightest of animals! The only exception that makes them different is who their Shepherd is! Are they following Satan’s dark futility or God’s wise Light? A higher power guides all sheep. The foolish darkness will devour them, and we know the Enemy is here but to kill, steal, and destroy. (John 10:10)

Jesus is the Good Shepherd, and only He can lead you into the salvation of His Kingdom of eternal life with God in His prepared place we call heaven. For sure, Satan has a set place too – it’s called Hell!

If you are feeling stuck, I urge you to ask Jesus, “Will You Shepherd me?”

Read and meditate on His Word. If you have wandered away from the Light, there is a way and He is near.

John 10:6-13

Those who heard Jesus use this illustration didn’t understand what he meant, 7 so he explained it to them: “I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. 8 All who came before me were thieves and robbers. But the true sheep did not listen to them. 9 Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures. 10 The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.

11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd sacrifices his life for the sheep. 12 A hired hand will run when he sees a wolf coming. He will abandon the sheep because they don’t belong to him and he isn’t their shepherd. And so the wolf attacks them and scatters the flock. 13 The hired hand runs away because he’s working only for the money and doesn’t really care about the sheep.

Journal Prompts

  • Think about your mission in life. Do your current choices lead you closer to your goal?

  • How can I get more stillness, solitude and peace in my life?

  • What tensions are stressing me now?
  • How do I control rather than trust?
