Bible Study & Devotional Day 44
🔴 Skillful Workers
Guiding Scripture: Psalm 34:9 “Oh, fear the Lord, you his saints, for those who fear him have no lack!”
Exodus 36:1-38 is an inspiring chapter and one we as Christ-followers should carefully consider. We read the second coming of Moses from Mount Sinai carrying the Ten Commandments. Our gracious Abba Father heard His servant Moses’s prayer and did not destroy the wicked Israelites to create and worship the golden calf a false idol. Now we hear God command Moses to gather all the skilled workers and instruct them to build the tabernacle. Talented men and women came together with their specific gifts and gave generously to the building fund.
Moses achieved reconciliation but not without difficulty. The focus became setting up for God’s worship in the wilderness. God loves a generous and cheerful heart. We read that those called gave willingly. Oh, what a blessing! To be part of a corporate worship experience guided by skilled leaders who were willing to teach. I had my share of oppressive work relationships when I wanted to do so much more but became burdened with superficial details. However, even the schemes of the enemy did not discourage my desire to give my best.
When challenged with impossible situations at home, work, or church, don’t throw your talents into the pile. Do not let a chaotic system tempt you into creating an idol. Wait patiently on the Lord. He will guide you to a solution. God rewards those who diligently seek Him. Go after His presence and leave the rest behind.
If you are wondering if you are working within the Lord’s will on a project, draw inspiration from Exodus 36:2-7. The master craftsmen were blessed beyond the scope of their work. Imagine being on a team working for the Lord that is overflowing with generosity and action?! Remember, the word of God is useful for teaching, correction, and rebuke. Pray through every situation and diligently seek the Lord’s guidance. He will direct your path.
Prayer: Lord, with you, we lack nothing. May we always encourage others to experience your presence. I bring you my words of praise and heart of worship. Please guide your children towards you and help us grow in discernment. Where you lead, we shall follow, telling of your greatness exalting your Name. You hear our prayers and free us from our fears. The radiance of our joy is void of shadow and shame. We walked united without a doubt. Please help us to praise your Name continually. Amen!
