Our Given Purpose® exists to help believers move from being lukewarm to fully Spirit-led, empowering them to align their lives with God’s purpose. Rooted in the truth of Galatians 5:16, our ministry provides structure and accountability through the One Year Bible Reading Plan, equipping individuals to engage consistently with God’s Word and grow spiritually.

At Our Given Purpose®, we tackle the struggles of inconsistency, spiritual stagnation, and distraction by providing resources that guide believers to walk confidently in their God-given purpose, one step at a time.

Torrie Slaughter is a purpose-driven believer in Christ, founder of Our Given Purpose®, and a passionate encourager of those seeking to align their lives with God’s will. Guided by the truth of Galatians 5:16: “So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh,” Torrie is dedicated to helping others embrace a Spirit-led life, shedding the barriers of fear, pride, and doubt to walk boldly in their God-given purpose.

As a wife of 26 years, a proud mother of two young adult sons a Certified Master Life Coach, and a theology student, Torrie integrates her faith, education, and life experiences to inspire others. She believes intentional focus and surrender to Christ are the ultimate tools for living a life of peace, clarity, and Kingdom impact.

Through Our Given Purpose®, Torrie offers resources designed to foster spiritual growth and provide structure and accountability for faith journeys. Central to the ministry is the One Year Bible Reading Plan, which forms the foundation for daily devotionals, podcasts, and live teachings. By helping believers engage with God’s Word consistently, Torrie provides a clear path for developing deeper intimacy with Christ and applying His truth to everyday life.
