🟥The Message:

The Bitterness of Fear:

Mentoring is a long-term process based on mutual trust and respect.

Can we have a better Mentor, Father, or Counselor than God?

Who better to model our lives after than Christ! It says in Psalm 147:5 Great is our Lord and abundant in power, His understanding is beyond measure.

“Ulterior motives will take time away from cultivating relationships in fertile soil; instead, it will counterfeit love by replacing it with temporary happiness.” -Torrie Slaughter

Meditate plan mentally; consider: to think carefully about something.
Think carefully and consider God’s Word every moment of every day. He does not give us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and self-control. To be transformed by the renewing of our minds means we must do our work. Clarifying, organizing, and preparing to do our assignment each day takes strategic planning with God.

🟥 Take Action

Recap of Part One & Two:

We opened with acknowledging Fear has experience. It has a resume. And I asked, What does it say to you? I wondered if you had hired Fear? We defined mentoring as the long-term process based on mutual trust and respect, recognizing God as the ultimate mentor, counselor, and father. Having Christ as the perfect role model!
In part 2 of the bitterness of Fear, I introduced. My compound definition of bitter Fear is Resentment caused by bad experiences and the belief that someone or something will likely cause unjust treatment, which is painful to accept.

🟥The Mentoring:

🟡Clarify.  Allow God to simplify your life by focusing on Him. What has our Lord provided in this current season to help you move forward?

🟡Organize. Establish a plan to seek His guidance for everything you do and what it means to be a redeemed son or daughter.

🟡Prepare. Remember, humans, do not qualify you to do what God has called you to become. There isn’t any special work to do that would put you in a closer relationship with God. His work on the cross is what we as His followers need to be mindful of while we practice love.
