Bible Study & Devotional Day 31

🔴  A Posture of Hope

As long as you’re quiet, you can stay. Have you ever been told that?

In Matthew 20:30, we are introduced to the blind man sitting by the road. That was his posture. But Jesus. Jesus was close; He was walking through Jericho, and the blind man became aware. Conscious of his opportunity to be healed. He knew who Jesus was, and he called Him Son of David.(Matthew 20:31) He could not see but, his heart knew the truth. The one True Living God stirred his spirit towards transformation.

The Crowd!

They hushed admonished, scolded, and rebuked him. Why? Did they feel guilty for not doing more? Were they silencing him because they thought he was foolish? Or were they being selfish and thought that his life was meaningless, that he was better off sitting by the road, forgotten, and afflicted. Jesus stopped. In His all-knowing power, He still asked the blind man what he wanted. Wow! My God!!

You may be wondering why you haven’t moved beyond your present mental or physical condition; don’t let the crowds tell you that you’re ok with where you are. Christ threatens their posture by showing up in your life. Let God take the blinders off! Let God show you how to follow Him!

He cared, He showed mercy, he showed compassion. He removed the blind men from the roadside and the people surrounding him.

  • Has Christ, Jesus our Lord and Savior, asked you to move?
  • Is there an urgency or tension building?
  • Are you noticing the people around you have no intention of letting you be a great disciple?
  • Are you sitting on the road with people who want you to remain in the same afflicted mental, physical, spiritual silence as they?

These people may be afraid and their fear becomes yours. Christ may have appeared to them in a form they weren’t ready to accept.

It is time to move.

Raise your voice, Believer! If this resonates in your spirit, it is time to seek Christ our Lord and Savior; repent, cry out for mercy, and ask for His healing. Stand up. Be in harmony with the community of Christ’s disciples and press forward with God as your guide and the Bible as your map.

Sprinkled Seeds, A Mentoring Podcast

SHOW NOTES: http://www.ourgivenpurpose.com
👋 Hello, Person of Purpose!

Welcome to today’s mentoring session: Sprinkled Seeds! Please keep your Bible and notebooks open. Take notes as you hear ideas that spark curiosity. We have an opportunity to listen and grasp spiritual things within mundane activities. Use the power of divine understanding to implement your system of action.  Jesus tells us we have the power to see and hear more than is revealed. How we apply that to every situation is our choice.

Have you given away treasures because you didn’t see the immediate value?

🟥 Take Action

What is a seed?

It is an embryonic plant in an outer protective covering. Nothing happens with the seed until it is placed in an area to develop. We can refer to the parable of the Sower (Matthew 13:1-9) to meditate. Where have you planted seeds? Have your roots begun to sprout?

  1. Have we cultivated a community of empowered people to pursue their purpose within the Kingdom?
  2. Do we employ individuals to build their ministries as a way of increasing Christ’s ambassadors?

⇒ Read Matthew 13:18-23 and ask through prayer what seeds am I intentionally planting?

A Revelation?

Personal revelations is an enlightening or astonishing disclosure shocking revelations. Challenging society and standing firm will help us understand our mistakes, rebellion, and misguided attempts to control other people. We are destined to live a life led by God for His divine purpose. Remember who you are in Christ and the intention for which He made you.

A Daily Purpose

Bible Study & Devotional (January 20, 2021)

🔴 The Kingdom of Heaven is Like,

In Genesis 41:44, Pharaoh gave authority to Joseph to govern the land as he saw fit. Even though Pharaoh was the ultimate man in charge, he yielded to Joseph and His God.

To be elevatedto a level of prestige and honor after false imprisonment could make anyone bitter. Yet, Joseph praised the Lord(Gen 41:51-52) for making him forget his grief and the separation from his father’s house.

The other incredible takeaway is the re-established trust. Whether Pharaoh believed his wife’s allegations (Gen. 39:17-20) against Joseph were immaterial in light of the current circumstance. Joseph had proven himself loyal before, steadfast while imprisoned, and presently a man of God.

How can we apply this character example of faith to our lives?

God blesses those who love Him and humble themselves before His throne. Our Lord keeps His covenant promise. I believe God gave Joseph a shot of hope as he gathered grain throughout the land of Egypt. Genesis 41:49 tells us that Joseph stopped counting or weighing the abundance of grain because it was immeasurable. That is the result of being aligned with God’s will!
Put a bookmark in Genesis 42, and we will continue the discussion of Joseph and his brothers tomorrow.

The Kingdom of Heaven is like a continual flow of love. It is open communication and a bevy of divine fellowship. The Kingdom of Heaven is the place where God and His creation will dwell. The Kingdom is a mustard seed providing all the necessary needs for her people.

What is a seed?

It is an embryonic plant in an outer protective covering. Nothing happens with the seed until it is placed in an area to develop. We can refer to the parable of the Sower to meditate.(Matt. 13:1-13)

  • Where have you planted seeds?
  • Have your roots begun to sprout?

The mustard seed is so small it is barely visible when surrounded by other things. Christ has stealthily planted his Word in our hearts, and we may not notice it. As believers, we can impact lives in the tiniest of ways. We have become great servants under our Abba Father’s rule.
