🟥The Message:

Hand-Me-Down Fear is a mentoring session exploring why we do the things we do. As a framework for those of you who have read the Bible and are familiar with the stories, we will use Genesis 25:19-34, Jacob, and Esau’s story.

Meditate plan mentally; consider: to think carefully about something.
Think carefully and consider God’s Word every moment of every day. He does not give us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and self-control. To be transformed by the renewing of our minds means we must do our work. Clarifying, organizing, and preparing to do our assignment each day takes strategic planning with God.

🟥 Take Action

Galatians 6:1-3 Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. 2 Bear one another burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. 3 For if anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself.

🟡 Clarify.

Clarify by asking God to give you a just view of yourself concerning Him. Fear, anger, pride, and arrogance keep us from serving others. It is harmful, and we will pass down our attitudes to the entire community.

🟡 Organize & Prepare

Hebrews 11:1-3 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. 2 For by it the people of old received their commendation. 3 By faith, we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible.

God, our Creator, Provider, and sustainer of life, made this world and everything in it by speaking it into existence. Order your faith according to the truth of God’s word and not the hand me down schemes of the enemy.
