🟥The Message:
Hand-Me-Down Fear is a mentoring session exploring why we do the things we do. As a framework for those of you who have read the Bible and are familiar with the stories, we will use Genesis 25:19-34, Jacob, and Esau’s story.
Meditate plan mentally; consider: to think carefully about something.
Think carefully and consider God’s Word every moment of every day. He does not give us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and self-control. To be transformed by the renewing of our minds means we must do our work. Clarifying, organizing, and preparing to do our assignment each day takes strategic planning with God.
🟥 Take Action
🟡 Clarify.
- If I am grieving the Holy Spirit by my actions, how can I realign with God to live Holy unto Him? What changes do I need to make to allow God’s presence to live out through me?
Clarify for clarity. Ask the Holy Spirit to explain or illuminate your errors so that you remain transparent with your motives.
🟡 Organize.
2. What do I want people to remember about me when I leave their presence? If my words immediately manifested physically, what would I see?
Organize by establishing with the Holy Spirit. Build on the clarity you’ve received and let transformative love govern your attitude.
🟡 Prepare.
3. The spirit of fear is of this world. Do not deny the Holy Spirit access to your life. Be prepared to forgive quickly.
