🔴 HUNGRY FOR TRUTH!
Psalm 107: 8-9 “Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love, for his wondrous works to the children of man! 9 For he satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul he fills with good things.”
My physical hunger, once fed, will not satisfy my spiritual appetite. Have you ever wondered why no matter how ‘full’ you are, there is still something missing? That’s because your spirit still hungers.
Isaiah 58:7 Is it not to share your bread with the hungry
and bring the homeless poor into your house; when you see the naked, to cover him, and not to hide yourself from your own flesh?
God’s Word, The Holy Bible, is full of His truth, and He wants us to taste it and see that it is useful for righteous living, wisdom, instruction, and promises.
Let us pray: Heavenly Father, teach us to seek first your kingdom and learn of you. Help us see the plight of others who need both physical and spiritual nourishment and administer to them with Your Word, clothes, prayer, comfort, and visit those who are sick or in grief or confined. Lord Jesus, as we taste your Word and allow it to marinate in us, please remind us that we are blessed by you so that we may be a blessing to others. Thank you, Lord. Amen
