🔴 EXERCISING YOUR FAITH MUSCLE

James 2:26 For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead.

Can’t make it to the gym because of the COVID-19! You are not alone. Friends I usually would see five times a week I haven’t seen in months. Hopefully, they are safely utilizing other means of exercising during this quarantine.

When we think of exercise, we usually think of our physical bodies – right! But once in Christ, we become one in the Spirit of Christ, which means that the Spiritual side of us needs development. So you may wonder how do we exercise that which is unseen as defined in Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”

As we exercise the gift God has given us, the ability to love one another, we develop our spiritual muscle. It is a conditioning that maintains our spirit’s health, for we know that the testing of our faith produces a single-minded dedication to our Lord.

Let’s Pray: Lord, please increase our faith muscles by helping us see opportunities to administer to others in need and hold nothing back because we as believers know that everything belongs to you. Please consider us righteous as you did Abraham for his willingness and offered his son Isaac on the altar. Show us how to provide all that we have to you so that we, too, can be called your friend and be considered righteous. Thank you, Lord, for showing us that we may think ourselves unworthy or less than; that you used Rahab the prostitute to show your kingdom spies a different direction. Please strengthen us for your use and your glory. Amen
