🔴 WALKING CORPSES

Romans 6:4, “We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.”

A movie produced some years ago, “Dead Man Walking,” got its title from prisoners who were marching to death. While non-believers are not in a physical prison, they are imprisoned to sin and are dead humans walking to an eternal destination we refer to as Hell!

Life without Christ is death.

The only way one can escape eternal death is to become a believer in Jesus Christ. Sin makes us dead to God. God is Holy, and He cannot look at sin. That is why God sent His only Son to pay the price for our sins. Now when God looks at us, He sees us through the shedding of blood and the cross of His Son Jesus Christ.

God gives us a choice to accept salvation through Jesus Christ. Once we give our life to Christ, we become regenerated in our hearts and minds because of receiving His Holy Spirit, which transforms our lives.

Ephesians 2:4-5, But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.

God wants all humanity to be saved. He does not want anyone to perish and live an eternal life of damnation and separation from Him.

Let us pray: Lord, we pray that everyone reading this devotion has not asked you to receive him or her into your kingdom. We pray that with a sincere heart, they repent and turn to you for salvation. Please fill our hearts with goodwill and our renewed minds with faith to be obedient to your perfect will. We glorify and thank you in the precious name of Jesus. Amen
