John 14:2, “In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?”
🔴 PREPARING ROOM
Ever stop to think that the floods, fires, earthquakes, and other acts of God are God’s way of making room here on earth for His people? Just maybe God is clearing additional space on the planet for us to be more inclusive of others. The more area we as Americans have, the more we want. The bigger, the better! The more distance we can put between us, the better. Perhaps once we have lost everything because of God’s natural disasters, our hearts will enlarge to encompass foreigners as we travel this pilgrimage journey.
Perhaps we all may be able to proclaim and embrace:
“Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed, to me: I lift my lamp beside the golden door.” ― Emma Lazarus
Let’s pray: Heavenly Father, teach us to love and embrace all of your creation and help us to remember that you are the Savior of all your created human beings. You are the only real and righteous judge. Remind us of our responsibility. To share your Word baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost. As we also teach them to observe all things that you have commanded us. We know that you are always with us even unto the end of the world. Amen.
