Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
🔴 LEFTOVERS AGAIN!
With our busy schedules, we often prepare meals to last a day or two to save time in the kitchen. That makes perfectly good sense and teaches our children and us not to be wasteful. Serving leftovers is undoubtedly a time saver. Once the time is gone, we can not get it back any more than we can see into the future. We trust God and His provision for timing and faithfulness in His promises.
God wants us to have a relationship with Him, and He wants us to have a relationship with each other! Just two great commands!
Let us pray: God, we know that you do not want our leftovers, and our obedience in following your commandments are far better than our sacrifices to you. Please help us to understand that you have given us all the time required to obey you and your plans for us. Show us how to prioritize what’s most important after our time in a relationship with you and the amount of time we need to spend with family, friends, and others you have placed in our lives. We ask you to balance us and give us focused guidance according to your first seeking your kingdom and adding everything else we need. Thank you, Jesus. Amen
