“Then Jesus said to him, “Put your sword back into its place. For all who take the sword will perish by the sword. 53 Do you think that I cannot appeal to my Father, and he will at once send me more than twelve legions of angels?” Matthew 26:52-53
🔴 FALSE SECURITY
It’s storming, lightning flashing, thunder roaring, and now the house security alarm is going off! The monitoring company is calling to be sure about everything. My husband checks and relays to them; it might be the power of the storm. After asking questions to validate our identity and satisfy their contractual legal requirement, they hang up without calling the police department.
While this is comforting, how would we have handled a different scenario? What if?
How secure are we against storms, the wiles of this world, the floods, or the fires?
We can only have total reliance on believing in and following the guideline of our God and Savior through His Son Jesus Christ. Everything else is “Sinking Sand” or “quicksand.”
1 John 4:1 tells us that many false prophets are gone out into the world and that we should try the spirits to see whether they are of God. Further in the chapter, we are told:
1 John 4:3-4 “And every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already. 4 Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”
1 John 4:18 “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.”

ASK Yourself
- What worries you the most currently?
- What keeps you awake at night?
- Write down one thing of which you can not let go.
