🔴 Do Not Give Up
Bible Reading: Galatians 6:6-10, Proverbs 6:9-11, Mark 12:28-34
Galatians 6:9 And let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap, if we do not give up
🔴 Understanding– the power of abstract thought; intellect.
🟡J.R. Rim “The right reason will reap the desired result,”
🟢Proverbs 6:9 KJV How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?
🟢Galatians 6:9 KJV And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
🟡God doesn’t do anything by accident. While I was preparing this brief devotional for today, I got my scriptures “mixed up.” I meant to start with Galatians but pulled up Proverbs instead. As I read the two passages together, I thought, WOW! A message for me! I need rest, but I’m not tired; I have much work to do but many who tell me to rest.
Balance.
🔴If we sow genuine love and kindness, we will reap it. Have you planted into your purpose?
Mark 12:30-31 And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength. 31 The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. No other commandment is greater than these.”
🟡Balance is being emotionally & spiritually mature. It’s easy to tell others what they ought to do and ignore ourselves. How simple it would be for us to do good for those who are kind to us.
🟡If we reaped everything, we have sown how much love would you glean and how much hatred?
🔴These are some things to ponder as we examine our hearts and ask God to guide us through the process.
