🔴What Are You Missing?
Bible Reading: Proverbs 3:1-12; Psalm 16:1-11
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
🔴 Understanding– the power of abstract thought; intellect.
🔴 Discover – find (something or someone) unexpectedly or in the course of a search.
🔴 What have you discovered?
God is in the details. I have discovered being faithful leads to an increase in faith. Life changes abruptly but not without our Father knowing the facts.
Three weeks ago, I had a choice, undertake another significant project, or ignore the opportunity. Sound familiar?
In my humanness, I decided I could quit without anyone noticing. A half-hearted leap into unknown territory; fear was the root of my faith. BUT GOD! In the beginning, He transformed my heart and gave me the strength to give my best and work cooperatively to glorify Him.
Four days in- my new project became a beautiful way to meditate on God’s Word and ponder its instruction. Having a love for reading and seeking Him through scripture, the work quickly became a delight. I wanted to spend time researching, praying, and reflecting. As joy increased, so did my questions. Why Lord? Why would you have me start this? What should I release? As though He were expecting me, the Holy Spirit solved the mystery.
When you host an event, have a celebration, or host a dinner, preparation is required. Many things need to be accomplished so everyone can enjoy the gathering. However, a choice as to who will bear the work’s weight is up to the ‘manager.’ She decides to delegate, micro-manage, or be the sole orchestrator. With God, I discovered a new way to connect with other Christ-followers. But first, I needed to be willing to serve.
Has God asked you to add more of Him to your day?
Have you discovered Him in the details?
