Daily Bible Study with Purpose

John 8:12 Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life.

🔴 LIGHT AT END OF TUNNEL

Is your thinking so restricted and close-minded about seeing anything other than what is in front of you? That is a description that commonly refers to a person who only has tunnel vision! Tunnel vision is not always a bad thing when you need to focus on a project or a particular task.

But tunnel vision when it closes your mind to receiving suggestions, constructive criticism, new ideas, or better ways to accomplish your goals is not good and otherwise harmful to positive outcomes.

In times like these, we need a Savior. We must remember that God is in control, and He wants us to rely on Him for our needs, our answers, and every aspect of our lives. He wants us first to seek Him, learn of Him and His faithfulness and love for us. He wants us to ask Him for what we want because He already knows what we need.

Our relationship with God is essential to Him. He also wants us to prepare and knock (knocking means that we have to do something ourselves physically) for the gifts and blessings He has in His storehouse for us.

The very best gift one can receive or give during this Advent, Kwanza, Christmas, and Holiday Season is the gift of receiving Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and beginning a relationship with Him. Jesus is the Light of the World! Once you accept Him and His Light – walk in the Light!

Let us pray: Dear Lord, when we get caught up in our daily routines and become overwhelmed, will you please grab hold of us through your Holy Spirit to bring us back to reality? We need your Light to guide us and lead us into righteous living. Please, Lord, help us refocus our time and energy on that which you have taught us to live in obedience to you and your plan and purpose for our life. I love you, Lord. Thank you. Amen
