Daily Bible Study with Purpose

John 4:13 “Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again,  14  but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

🔴 ARE YOU THIRSTY?

Cooler fall weather can give you a false sense of hydration. Why? We are certainly not sweating or getting overheated and don’t feel as thirsty. We must remind ourselves to drink more water. Depending on body size, our bodies contain anywhere from 50 to seventy-five percent water. Drying of our skin, hair, and bodies become more prevalent when we are dehydrated. In the winter months, sometimes our skin feels dry, and we believe it looks like an alligator’s hide lacking the moisture that is needed.
We also become dehydrated when we do not thirst after righteousness and drink in God’s Word.
When we separate from Him by spending less time in a connection by reading the Bible, praying, studying, and nurturing our relationship with each other, we become parched.

Exodus 34:29 When Moses came down from Mount Sinai, with the two tablets of the testimony in his hand as he came down from the mountain, Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone because he had been talking with God.

Let us pray: Lord, we come to your well empty. We have nothing to offer but ourselves. However, we know that when we drink of you and receive your HolySpirit that you allow us to drink of you without limitations. May we always are reminded that we need you, and apart from you we can do nothing. Give us the light of your presence for all to see that we have been with you and inquire of us what they must do to receive this blessing that only you can give. Thank you, Father. Amen
