Changed for A Purpose, Part Two

Changed for A Purpose, Part Two

Bible Reading: Ephesians 4:17-24 & Proverbs 4:23-27

Hello Purposeful People!

Thank you for listening to today’s podcast!

How am I making a valuable contribution to my family? That is what I asked myself one morning. What was I doing for my family that was beneficial to their spiritual growth? As God would have it we began a family Bible study starting with the Gospels and have worked our way through the New Testament each week chapter by chapter. This has strengthened our relationship as a unit and fostered an atmosphere of conversation. The way we each take in and apply God’s word to our lives is an experience I pray will continue to be passed down through each generation.

I am less likely to just run with my feeling because I have a responsibility to myself and those around me to think and act with righteousness.  The impulse decisions I made were usually the result of feeling helpless. Once God helped me find that as my issue I was able to pray through it. Think for a moment: what is it that makes you feel anxious, impulsive, or envious? What do you do in those moments? Do you grab a drink? Medication? Do you start gossiping about others to make yourself feel better? Do you shop, overeat, or otherwise distract yourself from what you need to deal with?

We can’t make a contribution if we have nothing to give because we are flying on fumes or reacting to everything around us. Inserting a healthy balance of physical health, mental health and spiritual health takes time, planning, and practice. Its been proven that it takes 30 days to create a new habit. That means 30 days of prayer, bible study, talking to a pastor, or counselor, journaling your thoughts, ambitions, goals.

We can make a positive change in our lives with the help of our Lord and Savior. We are encouraged to go to Him in our times of stress.

  1. Thank you my Queen. ❤️🙏🏾
We are so grateful for the journey God place in you for us. The knowledge and the desire to seek even more, is so edifying to our souls. It has given us the desire to read more, study more, use what we are learning more…allowed us to find different ways of expressing and finding our purpose in Christ. We love you for being so strong, and loving.
    I love you my Queen❤️🙏🏾😘

    • Thank you Beloved. ❤️
We all have talents that can be used for God’s glory and they are different. I think the main goal is to identify how we can be used for God’s purpose in what we have been given. God doesn’t make mistakes our innate passions are the driving force behind our desires. Tapping into that passion for Christ is one way to be purposeful in this life for His Kingdom. ❤️ I love you my Beloved.
