Be Confident in the Lord
written by Torrie Slaughter
Being confident in the Lord is an essential aspect of our faith journey. When we trust in God’s plan for our lives and believe in His promises, we can face any challenge with courage and hope.
We as believers can do that through 1. Reading God’s Word 2. Praying to God King of Kings Lord of Lords. 3. Surrounding ourselves with community 4 taking action once He gives us a command and 5 to remember God’s faithfulness. So lets break down these five things I just gave you and cultivate confidence in Jesus CHrist our Lord and Savior:
- Seek God’s Word: Reading the Bible and studying God’s Word is a powerful way to build our faith and confidence in the Lord. The Bible is filled with stories of God’s faithfulness and provision, and it reminds us of the promises that He has made to His people. When we immerse ourselves in His Word, we are better equipped to face whatever comes our way.
- Pray: Prayer is another powerful tool that can help us to be confident in the Lord. When we pray, we can express our fears and anxieties to God and ask for His guidance and strength. By inviting God into our lives through prayer, we can find peace and comfort in His presence.
- Surround Yourself with Community: Being part of a supportive and loving community is essential for building confidence in the Lord. When we are surrounded by others who share our faith, we can encourage one another and lift each other up. Together, we can remind each other of God’s love and promises, and help each other to stay focused on Him.
- Take Action: Confidence in the Lord doesn’t mean that we sit back and do nothing. It means that we trust in His plan for our lives and take action to fulfill His purpose for us. When we step out in faith and take risks, we demonstrate our trust in God and allow Him to work in and through us.
- Remember God’s Faithfulness: Finally, one of the best ways to be confident in the Lord is to look back at all the ways that He has been faithful in the past. When we remember how He has provided for us, protected us, and guided us, we can trust that He will continue to do so in the future.
Being confident in the Lord is a journey that requires intentional effort and trust. By seeking God’s Word, praying, surrounding ourselves with community, taking action, and remembering His faithfulness, we can cultivate a deep and unwavering confidence in Him.
Using Psalm 62 as an outline, we can express confident faith in God and trust He will preserve us. God is our rock and salvation. We can talk to Him about our enemies and describe their wickedness. We can encourage one another to put trust in God and not in people or their wealth. Claim the victory over doubt and stand confidently in your calling!
