We serve a living God. Our reading in Exodus 37 & 38 today continues the elaborate detail of making the tabernacle’s furniture. The gold reflected God’s strength, and the Israelites could see themselves in the bronze covered pieces. God wants us to see ourselves in Him. What we do should always glorify our risen Savior. The Old Testament reminds us of the details and order He constructed to 1. Set a distinct pattern of worship. 2. Break the chains of idolatry. And 3. Show His divine Spirit at work within the exceptional craftsmen.
The people prepared to worship God with reverence.
How do you prepare to enter into God’s presence during corporate worship? Is it with a joyful heart, or are you afraid of people’s perception? Are you serving on a committee or part of religious service? Whether you’re on the Tech team, choir, usher board, or hospitality your attitude towards service matters.
We read that the two Mary’s went to the tomb and an angel of the Lord instructed them to tell others. Preach the Good News. Jesus meets them on their way and they fell at His feet in adoration. To spend those first moments with Christ after His resurrection. WOW! That is what it feels like when Christ enters into your heart. He renews a right spirit within us once we submit to Him.
Psalm 34:22 The Lord redeems the life of his servants; none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned.
Christ is the living proof of our future in eternity. We are challenged to seek Him and magnify His Holy name diligently.
