A Daily Purpose (Day 32)

God of Action

written by Torrie Slaughter

Exodus 14 is a powerful reminder for Christ-followers. If we believe in God’s will, we also have a responsibility. The lesson is the urgency to cross the Red sea and not stand still praying. We can pray on the move! Fear is paralyzing, but this passage shows faith in action.

Is God asking you to move and follow His will?

In Exodus 14:15, God asked Moses why he was praying and not acting.

When the Lord starts to move in the fear, He requires obedience. God had plans to prosper the Israelites and use His chosen people to spread the Good News through generations.

Dear Saint, are you standing at a crossroads? Are you following Jesus into unknown areas or praying the Holy Spirit will choose someone else?

Remember, people will intentionally make our lives more challenging.

The shock of God’s work will hurt those who rejected Him, but rejoicing will come. Seeking God brings gladness to our hearts, and that is something the enemy can not take away. Guard your joy amid the walls of water on either side. Pay attention to the reprieve God gives so you can exit into a future with God.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for walking with me and making a way when I can not see through your eyes. Please help me to be determined to follow you. Thank you for prospering my life to live faithfully. Even when I am afraid, I know I can trust in you. Thank you for your warnings and your promises. Amen
