A Daily Purpose

Bible Study & Devotional Day 97

🔴Reflect and Meditate

Psalm 78 is the second longest psalm after Psalm 119. It is historical and a psalm of wisdom. Today’s reading of verses 32-55 continues the journey through the exodus into the wilderness.
Reflect. That is what the Psalmist is asking the audience to do. Remember how you sinned against the Lord and how He held back His anger?
God provided and worked miracles, but they sinned.

When we think about God’s goodness and how He has blessed us, it is easy to forget to say thank you. The moment something goes awry, we call out to our Lord, wondering why we are undergoing such trials.

As you read Psalm 78:32-55, reflect on your life and what promises you’ve broken. Ask God to reveal the sins you’ve tried to cover and repent. When we seek His forgiveness and live in truth, the transformation will continue. God remembers that we are flesh, but we have Christ to follow as an example.
