True discipleship calls for a singular focus.
We have been given the incredible gift of eternal life with our Father. That means we, as His sons and daughters, have the opportunity to renew our minds. To be present.
Seeking clarity helps us remove the clutter, false teachings, and break from idolatry.
We define what we are skeptical about- why we have doubts, placed limitations, or restrictions on ourselves, the event, or others. We are practicing being present. If we simplify the filter through which we understand the experience, we can be clear on what is authentic.
What is true for you now? Have your past experiences shifted to reveal a more traumatic version of events? Think about your story. What has your specific trauma morphed into because pride or arrogance wants to (air quote) protect you from achieving?
