🔴 How to Trust God with the Unknown
“Have you ever received a phone call or email requesting intercessory prayer? I received such a call last week.
As I listened to the voice of this single mother agonize about an impending PCS (that’s a permanent change of station for us military families), I knew exactly how she felt. I experienced those same feelings many times as a wife and mother. Our family transitioned with my husband’s military career.
I am a planner and need to know all the details of where I’m going to start looking at schools, find a place to live and get situated and settled. I don’t like the unknown.
The “unknown” created feelings of anxiety and tension. I experienced insomnia and walked around weighted down with “cares of my world”. I completely ignored God’s passage that says,
“casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully]. “1 Peter 5:7 AMP.
Does any of this sound familiar? Have you tried to make all the arrangements without trusting God?
As I listened to her concerns, I gently encouraged her to trust in God by picking up her Bible to read scripture. God desires to illuminate the path in front of us when we seek Him for direction.
The Holy Spirit will guide us into all truth. It may seem dark as we’re walking along a path, but it is during these times, sitting quietly in prayer, that He will speak to us. God will give us peace that surpasses all understanding.
We get to know and trust someone when we spend time with them. God wants you to experience Him, so your confidence in Him is solid.
You don’t have to see everything and know everything, but you can TRUST HIM with everything. He knows the plans He has for you and will direct you and plant you exactly where you need to be to grow in that season of life.
Friend, take time to Pray~ Praise, Repent, Accept and Yield! God will unburden your heart.
Our lives must become intimate with God that total faith and surrender are effortless, just like breathing. We breathe without thinking; it only occurs through our unique God design of inhaling and exhaling. Yes, I know this is easier said than done in this world of grave uncertainty, but God’s Word is True and will never return void.
“So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that … “Isaiah 55:11
So today, you can breathe in God’s peace and breathe out worry about the future.
Pray and trust Him today.
Our Father longs for a heart of total surrender and trust in Him.
Say, “YES, I Trust YOU, Lord!”
