Bible Study & Devotional Day 75

Guiding Scripture: Psalm 59:10 My God in his steadfast love will meet me; God will let me look in triumph on my enemies.

🔴 Watch Dogs

Ever feel like someone’s watching you? You may anxiously look over your shoulder every few seconds or glance in the rearview mirror to see if the same car is following you. It’s unsettling. That is what David was experiencing in Psalm 59:1-17. Saul’s men were spying on him and waiting to attack. Yet, David cried out to God for protection and deliverance from the violent people. The evildoers of David’s day are still among us now. Watching and ready to destroy any progress in God’s kingdom. Like David, we have a living God we can call on to deliver us from verbal attacks and physical harm.

No matter where we are or what we are facing, God is with us!

You can cry out to Him. We foresee our enemies’ destruction because Christ has conquered the grave. We need not worry about what humans can do to our bodies.

Forgiveness is challenging in times of betrayal, isn’t it? That’s why prayer is essential to the survival of a Christ-follower! Use the Psalms to speak to Christ our Lord. You are not alone, nor can you tell God something He doesn’t already know. The beauty of open communication is what it reveals about ourselves. We can learn about God’s character as we discover our grit, social intelligence, optimism, and other personality traits.

Give thanks to God for meeting you with mercy and steadfast love.
