Praise to our God!

By contributing writer Sheila Arrington

We praise the Lord for his goodness and his kindness toward each of us. What a joy to be able to face today with the complete assurance that God knows each of us and is aware of every problem we encounter. Jesus, our Savior, has been where we are today and is keenly aware of what we experience. With this knowledge, He goes before the Father today on our behalf. He is also aware of everything that brings us joy and rejoices with us in them. Praise the Lord, for he is good! He knows all about us, and He binds up every wound. We are healed in His presence.

God’s wisdom, as seen in giving his Son to die for our sins, is beyond our comprehension.

Even the devil thought he had defeated the plan of God when he watched Jesus die on the cross. Death had won the victory. But he was wrong, and death was swallowed up in victory when God raised Jesus from the tomb, never to die again. In Jesus Christ, we are more than conquerors.

We are armed with the Holy Spirit living in us and clothed with the armor he provides.

We face each new day with its temptations and trials, knowing we can win. We have died to sin and now live to God in Jesus Christ. He has promised that we will never be tempted beyond what we can bear, but with each temptation, he will provide a way of escape. How fitting to praise the Lord!

Dear God, I am so thankful for your love, kindness, and grace in giving your Son to die for my sin. Thank you for providing all I need.
