Guiding Scripture: Hebrews 12:14 ‘Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. ‘
Live in Peace
written by: Torrie Slaughter
Many scriptures help us use God’s Word as a guide to live in peace.
We can protect our peace because Jesus stands guard over our hearts and minds.
Three ways we can remain mindful of that truth is to:
Know the source of peace.
Find balance and prepare for rivalry.
React with love in all circumstances.
Use God’s Word:
1 Thessalonians 4:11 And to aspire to live quietly, and to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we instructed you,
Romans 14:19 So then, let us pursue what leads to peace and to mutual edification.
Psalm 34:14 Turn away from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.
Those who belong to God are sanctified and share in the discipline of being slow to speak, slow to anger. The incredible sacrifice Jesus made brings us into His holiness. While our Savior walked this earth, He showed us how to live a life as set apart disciples.
We are charged to make every effort to live peacefully and allow God to have His perfect way.
