Guiding Scripture: Hebrews 11:6 ‘And without faith, it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.’

Faith Rewards

written by: Torrie Slaughter

  • Faith /fāTH/ Complete trust or confidence in someone or something.

I don’t trust my feelings. I am human, and therefore I make mistakes. While we all fall short of God’s glory, we can strive to glorify Him with our work, including our attitude and posture.

Hebrews 11:6 provides us with sound wisdom to live scripture. Faith is the acceptance that God exists. By believing that Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to dwell within us as a helper, Hebrews 11:6 prepares us to expect God to show up powerfully each day. The faith we have eases our anxiety, refocuses our agenda, and drives our motivation to please God.

God, our Creator, Provider, and sustainer of life, made this world and everything in it by speaking it into existence. Order your faith according to the truth of God’s Word and not the schemes of the enemy.

Psalm 73:28 reminds us that it is good for us to draw near to God. I pray we place our trust in the Lord in all our actions.
