Radiating the Power of Christ
By contributing writer Robin Lambert
Have you ever met a woman of faith? She serves in the church, attends social gatherings, and teaches Bible studies. But that was not what attracted you to her. There was something different and unusual about her. She was more than a church member or Bible scholar. Her continence was full of joy and consumed with peace. As she shared a testimony, it was clear that she spent time sitting at the feet of Jesus regularly.
The Word was alive to her because Christ was alive in her. She was radiating Christ!
You might say that this is too hard for you or that she is special, a pastor’s wife or a missionary, but the inner workings of Christ are not just for the select few. You, too, can enter the Holy of Holies and spend time in the presence of your Redeemer. Don’t try in your own strength to be like Christ. Just look at Him. Become preoccupied with Him. Forget about filling your mind crammed full of things about Him. Saturate yourself in Him. Focus on His purity, concentrate on His holiness and worship Him from the base of the cross allowing Him to transform you into His image.
Do not limit His power.
Your stubborn ways do not thwart him.
Do not limit His faithfulness.
He is always with you.
Do not limit His methods. He does as He will, and in all His ways, He is loving. Do not limit His promises. What He has said, He will do. Your great High Priest is ready and willing to fill your heart with Christ alone. You can choose to let Christ live through you or get in His way trying to live for Him. Abide with Christ and let Him radiate His power through you. When you can’t comprehend how to wrap your mind around this Infinite Savior, let the Infinite One wrap Himself around you.
