🔴 In the Fiercest of Storms, God is There

Contributing Writer: Robin Lambert

Even in the fiercest of storms, God is there.

Life can feel like a raging storm. One minute you’re riding the waves toward the top of the highest crest, somewhat apprehensive but excited. Before you know it, the waves loom high over your head, and you’re diving deep while waves crash down upon you. Lightning cracks open the sky with blinding intensity, and thunder detonates with a loud resonating sound. The wind howls, and the sea roars in its fury. You are caught in a storm where there is no hope for rescue.

Have you ever been through a storm in life where you lost all hope?
Did you feel like the situation was going to sink your boat, leave you shipwrecked or cause you to drown under the torrent of rising seas?

What do you do? You hold on!

You hold on to the hope that God always has for you. Tragedies abound, and you’re overwhelmed. You can hardly catch your breath before the successive waves of calamities engulf you. A deluge of catastrophes floods your life as you are swept away into the churning current.

It’s definitely not an easy ride.

This disastrous voyage could cause you to lose your worldly goods, income, or life. What if you can’t hold on? You find an Anchor. God gave you His Son and Spirit to comfort and strengthen you. He knows you’ll hit hard times along with the good times, so He never leaves you alone.

Sometimes, He will calm the storm, give you peace during the storm or deliver you from the storm, but in all cases, the Anchor holds despite the storm. God’s sovereignty was never shipwrecked by your storm.

Don’t get discouraged. Keep the faith.

  • Life is hard, but God provides.
  • Life is unpredictable, but God guides.
  • Life is unfair, but God cares.
  • Life is always a challenge, but God sustains.

May you find a haven of rest during your storm, as the stress of the storm made you realize the worth of the Anchor. He was found faithful.
