🔴 Is Ignorance Bliss?

Acts 17:30-31 In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. 31 For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead.”
Ignorance is bliss, quite a common colloquialism these days. Funny how things don’t change. So the question is, “Why Now?” Why do we feel God pressing the matter of repenting? The world wants us to believe we are all-knowing and taking responsibility for our actions is unnecessary—finances- health-education-are areas offer many loopholes or mindsets that we can avoid committing to a plan.
Yet, following God and repenting of our ignorance helps us make better decisions. Jesus did what He was sent to do! And thank God He did!
I believe we can be more realistic about our daily actions. I know I make mistakes even if no one ‘sees’ them. When God nudges you to repent and seek forgiveness, I hope you won’t claim ignorance because the consequence leads to death.
Prayer: Dear God, clear our minds, get rid of the distractions on our way to you. Allow the road to you to be one of the minute obstacles and help us along the road to success. Amen
