Bible Study & Devotional (Day 128)
🔴 “What Miracles Made You Believe?”
Contributing Writer: Stephanie Bright
The book of Psalms is always so captivating, as it bridges reflection and self-awareness, present and future. In verses 7 through 11, we are reminded of the miracle that God performed at the Red Sea to bring the people of Israel out of captivity. What a feat it was for God to part the Red Sea, and allow them to walk through on dry land. Then the miracle continued as God swallowed up the enemies as they attempted to walk in the same miracle that the Israelites had walked in.
This was all God’s doing! You can see in verse 8 that it was intentionally designed by God:
“Yet he saved them for his name’s sake,
that he might make known his mighty power.”
PSALM 106:8 ESV
The people of Israel were able to see God’s power revealed through the miracle of the Red sea. Before then, some may have had doubts along the way, but that’s what it took for them to really see that He was God.
Then they believed his words; they sang his praise.
PSALM 106:12 ESV
Once they saw God’s power and might, they praised Him. I challenge you to have some self-reflection with today’s reading. Look back over your life and think back to the miracles that you have seen God perform in your own life.
What has God done for you?
How did He reveal Himself to you and made you believe?
What has He done recently that is worthy of praise?
