Bible Study & Devotional Day 39

🔴 Community Involvement

The clothing for the priests reflected the exceptional work they were engaged. God ordered everything with the intent to set His servants apart to minister in His Holy presence. The priest served as a representation of God’s desire to dwell among them.

Exodus 28:3 tells us God endowed skilled workers with a spirit of wisdom to carry out His plans. Our Lord created an atmosphere of community within the foundation of the church. He wanted these blessed people called together. WOW!

“If worship does not emphasize God’s holiness, there is something awry.”

In the New Testament

As we move into Matthew 26:1-13, we read the familiar story of the woman anointing Christ’s head with oil. She brought all she had to the Savior to display her devotion as onlookers  sneered (Matthew 26:8). Yet, Jesus reinterprets her act (Matthew 26:10). Women who serve in churches, corporations, lead ministries, and community leaders face offense from those who will misinterpret their actions.

I want to encourage women especially, not to let the ‘offended’ become a snare. (I am preaching to myself first.)

The close-minded people will reveal themselves, but God will prevail. Allow Him to vindicate you. Give your all until it is clear your skills will better serve another area. Wait on the Lord to answer your cries for help.

Psalm 31 is a well-versed lamentation prayer and celebrates the blessings of the Lord. When your body is worn, and your clouded mind is anxious with thoughts, use Psalm 31:18-20 to vent your rage and praise God for all He is doing for the good of those who love Him.

Prayer: Oh Lord, let the lying lips be mute, which speak insolently against the righteous in pride and contempt. Oh, how abundant is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear and worked for those who take refuge in you. I express my trust in you; Lord, have mercy upon me. We are mindful of your remarkable deliverances in the past, and we know we serve an all-mighty living God. Thy will be done. Amen
