🔴 You Can Bear It

Written By Reason A. Chandler

Our minister of music has taught us a new song in the church I attend. And the words are; “He won’t put more on you than you can bear, but if it’s there, you can bear it.”

When God calls us to do something, we often say to ourselves, “Who am I?” Because it is usually something outside of what we see ourselves doing or even able to do. Others see the potential while we still doubt God is calling us to the task. While we were on the potter’s wheel being shaped and formed by God, it was uncomfortable, to say the least. But when the preparation process is complete, the potter knows our capacity.

Matthew 25:25 “So I was afraid and went out and hid your gold in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.”

In this text, the writer demonstrates the place where many of us may find ourselves. We are unaware of what we are about to go through, so we desire a way out and hide.
Yet, in our fear, if we surrender to the will of God, it will glorify our Father. God calls us to be obedient, an answer to many prayers, the light on the pathway, and the conclusion to the matter, whatever it may be.
Our decision to do the will of God has given us the strength to bear it. Now our strength is in the power of His might to complete what God has started in us. The Holy Spirit is whispering in our ear, “You Can Bear It.”

So, we now find comfort in knowing that God’s Word is true.

Isaiah 54:17, “No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me” declares the LORD.”

Romans 8:31,” What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”

When you surrender your will for God’s will, I promise, You Can Bear It!
