🔴 Strength & Dignity

written by: Torrie Slaughter

God put our bodies together; we are the one beings that behold His image. Humans are unique in that fact. From dust, God created man, and from the rib, God made woman. What God gave us was enough. However, after the fall of man into sin in Genesis 3, we desire to seize autonomy. Now our layers are ways to hide, conceal, and protect from the environment. Our choices trying to disguise our flaws and sin create a wearable character.

If we desire to become a person of strength, dignity, and honor, God must be our first choice of ‘clothing.’ He provides wisdom, self-control, beauty, and goodness when we allow Him to reign on the throne of our hearts.

Prayer: Lord, show us your goodness and mercy as we are led to pray. Please show us your loving-kindness as we spread the gospel of your Good news that it may encourage those who feel hopeless. By the Spirit, we desire to live and not provoke or envy one another. Help us to love ourselves in a manner that is pleasing to you. Amen
