🔴 Name & Reputation

written by: Torrie Slaughter

Psalm 138 is a beautiful reminder of who God is and honors His character. It also calls us to think about things eternal and know God’s nature. As King David emphasizes his intimate knowledge of God and gives thanks, we see glimpses of his familiarity with the Lord.

Knowing God’s Name is to have a deep love for Him.

And while we don’t need to list them off, it brings joy to our hearts when we declare that God is Sovereign. God has a reputation because His patterns are faithful and just. He is committed to His people and Shepherds His children.

As you read today’s passages, think about the many Names of God and how His faithfulness endures forever.

Prayer:  Lord, we come before you with open minds and hearts. Please help us to grow in understanding that we may respond in a godly manner.
