Guiding Scripture: 2 John 1:8 ‘Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully. ‘
🔴 Walk in Love
written by: Torrie Slaughter
Today’s passage reminds us of the command to love and warns us of the sufferings because we chose Jesus. We can choose love, kindness, mercy, gentleness, and forgiveness so many times, yet because our flesh is at war with our spirit, we get that wrong.
How often have you regretted your words or deeds? Have you ever wished you could start over?
Well, guess what?! You can! Because as you learn to walk in love, truth, and obey God’s command, you will desire to be more like Jesus.
If you struggle to love in all ways, I want to encourage you to remain confident. God’s Word tells us to remember who He is and what He taught us.
Hebrews 10:35 So do not throw away your confidence; it holds a great reward.
1 Corinthians 3:8 He who plants and he who waters are one in purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor.
I pray you will boldly walk according to God’s commandments guided by His precepts. Never forget that you are a treasure and have power over your temporary emotions. The reward for the work of our Christian community is the eternal life Jesus grants us.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for making our paths straight. You are a good, good Father, and I worship you. Thank you for the strength, courage, and wisdom to walk by faith. Amen
