🔴 Blessed Conversion

written by: Torrie Slaughter

Pride, fraud, and cruelty placed the rich in danger of God’s judgments. Those attitudes of privilege caused the wealthy to oppress instead of encouraging the poor.

The rich people were under fire because they:

  •  Hoarded wealth
  • Failed to pay their workers
  • Lived in luxury and self-indulgence
  • Practiced gluttony.
  • Condemned and murdered innocent people

These warnings should urge us to undergo self-examination. No one is perfect, and we all fall short. We can start by asking ourselves:

  1. Do my current circumstances change who I am in Christ?
  2. The Holy Spirit is interceding on my behalf. What are some things I need to repent?
  3. Is my faith walk reflected in my daily activities?
  4. Do my possessions make me feel complete, accomplished, or loved?

Prayer gives us the answer to our problems. It also helps us focus on God and realign with His will for our lives. Worshiping our Lord encourages us to keep Him the center of our lives.

Prayer: Father, I seek you with my whole heart; please help me walk faithfully with you. I know you have hidden your Word in my heart; please reveal it to me before I sin. Lord, I praise you and give thanks. Bless your Holy Name. Amen
