🔴 Turn From Idolatry
written by: Torrie Slaughter
The Thessalonians became true worshippers of our Most High God! Paul brought the Gospel to them, and they received Jesus. What a joy to see transformation occur! Despite opposition, they stood firm.
How can we use this portion of Paul’s letter to encourage our steadfastness?
- Create relationships with mature Christians. (1 Thessalonians 2:11)
- Live in a manner that reflects Christ’s love. (1 Thessalonians 2:12)
- Beware of false teachers and pray for discernment. (1 Thessalonians 2:13-14)
- Remember that you will face opposition and prepare for it. (1 Thessalonians 2:15)
We are witnesses living under Grace. We must remain humble, disciplined, and work to maintain integrity. As you study and meditate on God’s Word, I hope that you are encouraged to think about your thoughts, behaviors, and influences. Stand firm and be of good cheer.
Prayer: Father, restore us, and may your face shine on us. Restore us and clear the ground for your root to fill the land of our hearts. Amen
