🔴Incline Your Will
written by: Torrie Slaughter
If wisdom begins with the reverential fear of God (Proverbs 1:7), then humility and obedience are the results. When we apply our minds to the things that please God, we grow in knowledge. It becomes part of our desire to implement His instructions in every area of our lives.
The word ‘incline’ has three interesting definitions that help us make conscious decisions regarding the will of God.
- To lean or become drawn toward an opinion or course of conduct.
- To turn away from a given direction, especially the vertical or horizontal.
- A slope on a road or railway.
Life presents many challenges, and the influences of others will impact our actions, beliefs, and attitudes. So as you read today, think about who you are inclined to follow. When we welcome the good news of Jesus and the salvation that comes through faith, I pray we are inclined to do the Lord’s will.
