Bible Study & Devotional 240

Guiding Scripture: 2 Corinthians 2:14 ‘But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere.’
🔴Defending Opportunities
God’s thoughts are higher, and His plans are always good. In Paul’s second letter to the Corinthians, he continues to defend his ministry. In verse 14, we are encouraged by the mindful transition from sorrow to joy.
Like Paul, we will encounter people or groups that will frustrate and cause pain to our hearts. (2 Corinthians 2:3-4)
But we must remember:
- Disobedience is rebellion against the Lord. (2 Corinthians 2:9)
- To forgive the offenders. (2 Corinthians 2:5)
- God is in control. (2 Corinthians 5:14-15)
We have seen, read, and heard how God changes the hearts and minds of His people. It is through Christ that we become a sweet fragrance among those who are being saved. To witness God’s work in the lives of His children is victory!
As you read today’s passages, ask God to encourage you to be bold. He may have you say things you don’t understand or change your schedule. We must remain pliable under the Master’s hands and willing to yield to His wisdom. If we follow in the command to love and believe in Christ Jesus, we will have many opportunities to celebrate victory.
Prayer: Lord, we praise you even while we are discouraged. Please help us to hope in you and wait expectantly for Your guidance. Teach us to know Your higher ways and Your excellent paths that lead to victory. Amen

Amen, I needed to read this today. Agree God’s way are higher and we don’t have to explain our messes to others.
