Guiding Scripture: Psalm 25:2 ‘I trust in you; do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me.’

🔴Validated Trust

“Packed with peanuts, Snickers® really satisfies!”

When I was a child, my favorite treat was a Snickers®: a yummy nougat, peanut, and caramel-covered bar with delicious chocolate. It was a perfect balance of sweetness and crunch.

Trickery

I believed the commercial actors who could take a fist full of peanuts close their hands and upon opening a Snickers candy bar appeared. I spent countless hours taking my fist full of peanuts and hoping for my favorite candy. Needless to say, it never happened.

Enemies

I placed my trust in an idol and created golden calves. My enemies were: Greed. Hunger. Lust. It was unfathomable that something shown to millions of people was a lie. I trusted the campaign of the successful Mars, Incorporated candy company over the adults in my life.

Satisfy

I couldn’t let go of the betrayal. I thought everyone who loved me was lying. No explanation was enough, and that left me with more questions than answers. But God truly satisfies. He helped me see past my arrogance and give thought to other things I’d seen on television. God gave me perspective. His evidence rang true, and I could finally let go, apologize to my family, and move on. Why? Because I was satisfied with the truth.

Confidence

When God purposes us to follow His path, we can trust His guidance. He will not lead us astray. God will show us His way; all we need to do is ask. Everyone has the opportunity to become His child because of the death and resurrection of Christ Jesus.

Let’s build a relationship with the One who knows our innermost parts. God is authentic, a very real, and living Most High God who cares about us.

You will not be disappointed when your eyes are opened to the wonderous working power of God.

Prayer: Lord, ‘Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. ‘ Psalms 25:5, Amen
