🔴Wise Words Are A Healing Balm
Have you ever felt discouraged and at your wit’s end? I certainly have, and it fills me with doubt and frustration because I feel abandoned.
In those intense times of indecision, I remember that God is near and His Word can heal my inner turmoil. Let’s look at a couple of passages that remind us of God’s great grace, mercy, and wisdom.
Proverbs 12:18 tells us the tongue of the wise is beneficial. How is wisdom good? The decisions we make include consequences. Leaving things ‘undone’ will undoubtedly cause friction down the road. By asking God to help us align with His desires brings us closer to Him. His comfort is the peace our soul needs.
In Proverbs 4:22, we read that seeking wisdom is a nutritional medicine for our body. There are many pharmaceuticals, both natural and synthetic; we can ingest to make us feel better. But the truth is that until we have a correct posture before the Lord, all human antidotes will be temporary.
As you read today’s passages, think about your advisors. Are they rebelling against God because of selfish ambition, laziness, or confusion? Ask yourself, is it wise to seek wisdom from a fool? Pay attention to behavioral patterns.
