Guiding Scripture: John 6:51 ‘I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.” ‘
🔴 Living Bread
Chapter 1 of the Gospel of John verse 14 tells us that the Word became flesh and dwelled among us. God’s Son is full of grace and truth. Believers have the opportunity to live a life in eternity. The bread that God gives isn’t just heavenly manna; He offers us, Heaven.
The Holy Spirit transforms us as He works from within. Isn’t that incredible?! We don’t see how the physical food we eat benefits our bodies, yet we eat to satisfy an immediate hunger. The living bread will forever provide nourishment to our souls.
Deuteronomy 8:3 And he humbled you and let you hunger and fed you with manna, which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, that he might make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every Word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.
As we read today’s passages, think about your hunger. Is it for worldly things? 1 Corinthians 10:17 unifies the body of Christ because we all eat One bread. The truth of the living God. If you are convicted of questioning the motives of your ecosystem, try praying for clarity. The change always begins within us.
Is it time to alter your nutrition?
