Bible Study & Devotional Day 126
Written By: Torrie Slaughter
Guiding Scriptures: Ruth 4:6 Then the redeemer said, “I cannot redeem it for myself, lest I impair my own inheritance. Take my right of redemption yourself, for I cannot redeem it.”
🔴 Redeem
Yesterday we began the story of Ruth, one of only two books of the Bible written by a woman. How will the Lord redeem her family? Ruth is an earthly ancestor of Christ our Lord.
We also read how Christ presents redeeming living water to the woman at the well. Such great faith stories are woven together to show Jesus’ compassion for humanity.
As a woman of faith, I am often told what I am NOT allowed to do within the body of Christ. It is disheartening and liberating at the same time. The Word of God tells us that He uses everyone to proclaim His Gospel. We can glorify God, our Abba Father, in more ways than one.
While you’re reading today’s passages, be encouraged. No matter your circumstances, God can use you as His vessel. Christ is our Redeemer! We are to have a reverential fear of Him. By casting our anxieties on God, we can solve problems to navigate this life and be His servant. The Word of God is a healing balm. Believe in Who He is!
What has God called you to do?
Additional Scripture:
Proverbs 17:17 A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.
Philippians 4:10 I rejoiced greatly in the Lord that at last you renewed your concern for me.w Indeed, you were concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it.
