ūüĒī Praise God In All Seasons¬†

Real battles can cause our focus to shift and not be on the Lord. It is during times of difficulty and stress that it becomes imperative to keep our focus on God. You may be thinking, that’s fine for you, you’ve been walking with the Lord for a long time. But, what about me?

Every time I try to put my faith in God, something terrible happens, and I am back to square one. I find myself overwhelmed and crying out to God for help. Me too, friend; let me share a time when that happened.

“Praise Him in the Storm” is what I kept reminding myself to do when I didn’t feel like praising. Don’t get me wrong, I have experienced moments of authentic Praise and cherish being in the presence of God.

It had become natural to Praise and Worship. No one had to tell me to raise my hands or stand up with the Worship team.

But what if, You can’t get out of your “feelings,” and you’re headed down the rabbit trail of lies and discouraging thoughts?

“Why is God making all these bad things happen to me?” you ask yourself.

There seemed to be no end to the continual things going wrong in my life.

-Our son had suffered several injuries requiring surgery; there had been a change in our medical insurance, so we had to pay out of pocket in advance for medical services.

-Our youngest daughter’s health was declining with severe anemia and migraines. The excessive absences were now an issue with school officials and accusing us of being negligent parents.

My husband hadn’t located employment, which caused discouragement after applying for 80 plus jobs, affecting our marriage.

God, where are you?

Through this season of trial, challenge, and difficulty, focusing on the situation and your circumstances will rob you of your joy. And remember that “The Joy of the Lord is your Strength.” Nehemiah 8:10

Lift Up Your Head

Raise Your Hands

Open your mouth and say

“Thank you, Jesus. You are awesome, You are amazing, I love you, and You are worthy to be praised!” I don’t want the rocks to cry out for me..

But Jesus answered, “I tell you, if these become silent, the stones will cry out!” (Luke 19:40, NLT)

If you never do another thing, I’ll serve you and love you no matter‚Ķ I will trust you completely.

I chose not to become angry but decided to Praise, and it made all the difference.

If you feel like the “life” happening around is too much for you to deal with, remind yourself what God says about it.

“You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.” Phil. 4:13

“He has already given you everything you need for life and godliness.”

2 Peter 1:3

“Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the World.” 1 John 4:4

Pick up your Bible and begin to speak God’s Word into the atmosphere.

Choose to Praise Anyway, and watch what God can do.

Are you ready to Praise Him anyhow?
