Bible Study & Devotional Day 117

Guiding Scriptures: Judges 7:10-11 ‘If you are afraid to attack, go down to the camp with your servant Purah’ 10 and listen to what they are saying. Afterward, you will be encouraged to attack the camp.” So he and Purah, his servant, went down to the outposts of the camp. ‘
🔴 What Do You Hear?
After God dwindled Gideon’s army to 300 men, He had compassion on him. The Lord encouraged Gideon by allowing him to hear what the enemy said.
Let’s pause for a moment and think about all the ways our critics and enemies attack our minds. We are all called to serve and do great works. The Bible declares that Jesus increases the Kingdom by giving the Holy Spirit, which is available to everyone who believes in Him (John 14:12). In that way, God gives completely and beyond Himself as a Holy Spirit servant guide.
Fear
God knows our hearts and can determine our behavior. He knew Gideon was afraid to attack (Judges 6:7) and used the opportunity to encourage him. Gideon was afraid. He was unwilling or reluctant to do something for fear of the consequences.
Are you afraid to advance in an area God has given you victory?
If so, pray and give praise to God. He will encourage you. We can partner with God and do things in the strength He provides.
Listen
What has God allowed you to hear? The enemy is talking about you because you have a treasure. The opposition to your God-given purpose should be forewarned. The Lord has gone before us, and Christ claimed the victory over the grave. What can mere men do (Hebrews 13:6)?
Hear the voice of God above all others and obey His commands.
