A Daily Purpose

Bible Study & Devotional Day 108

Guiding Scripture: Luke 19:1 ‘Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through. ‘

🔴 Battle of Preparation

My faith lesson for today is such an incredible encouragement. Reading how Joshua followed the Lord’s direction and told the tribes of Israel how to increase their land, whew!! No wonder we outgrow areas. It is predetermined for such a time as to glorify the Lord.

While flipping the pages between the Old and New Testaments, we may forget how much time elapsed between these events. As you read today, think about how you are spending your time and for whose benefit. Will your actions increase God’s territory or satisfy temporary desires?

Jesus entered Jericho and passed through, a land with blood in the soil from the battles. The walls came down through the strength of Yahweh. Many voices, many words lifted in expectation of victory. (Joshua 6:1-27)God reminds us of how awesome He is when we partner with Him.

Prepare your heart to fulfill your requirements and leave nothing undone. Your task is groundwork for others to enter and pass through areas in this life. Lead by example and stand with those who are wholeheartedly following Christ.

  1. What a great question you propose: will my actions increase God’s territory or only satisfy me? That’s something I should ask myself daily! Thank you for the encouraging words.
