Guiding Scripture:Joshua 13:1 ‘When Joshua had grown old, the Lord said to him, “You are now very old, and there are still very large areas of land to be taken over. ‘

Luke 18:4 ‘And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’ “For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think, ‘

🔴 Work With the Lord

When we ask God to reveal all we need to do, to some, it is frightening. What if the ‘elders’ or religious system don’t approve? Examining our faith may be the only solution. Victory comes through confidence in God and obedience to His Word.
God told Joshua there were still large areas of land to be taken over. (Joshua 13:1). Joshua was over one hundred years old, and yet God was giving him instructions. That should be encouraging to us as we age; our Lord will never stop partnering with us. We can enjoy the process of His teaching and grow in wisdom. There are times I don’t feel helpful in God’s kingdom or that I’m not doing enough. But God reminds me of what He did through me and where my persistence will lead.

While you are reading today’s passages, remember you will be among those who do not fear the Lord. God can use every situation to bring Him glory. While you pray, submit to obedience and align your desires with our Heavenly Father’s. It may not seem as though the work is never completed, but we have a mission until the day the Lord returns.
