Guiding Scripture: Psalm 126:3, ‘The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.’

We are Glad

by contributing writer Reason A. Chandler

When I’m alone and meditating, there’s no music or tv, just quiet, except for the natural sounds we would hear if you are listening. The sounds that nature makes, like birds chirping, dogs barking, and wind blowing.

During these times, I’m glad to be alive and doing as well as I am. I am happy to be as old as I am, joyful that my health is good considering my age, delighted to have a queen who loves and supports me, and glad to have six children and ten grandchildren. I’m so glad God sent his Son Jesus to die for my sins, forgiving me. Since that transformation began, I have learned much about my deliverance from hell, death, and the grave. Wow, God loves me so much! Not only does he love me, but God also loves you and all in this world.

The Lord has done great things for humanity and the spirit of man, and we should think about how he shows us how to love. God demands we love in return both him and each other with our hearts, minds, and souls. At the same time, we work on doing what God asks of us. While we are growing stronger in the Lord and the power of His might. As we go forth into the world, we teach others His ways and baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God has done great things for us. Let’s be glad.
